Introduction to Glassblowing

Focus:
Material exploration, heat, form, and conceptual development through glass.

Description:
For their final project, students investigate how ideas can be expressed through the unique properties of glass—its fluidity, fragility, and ability to hold light. Research begins with a chosen theme or reference point, which students translate into a finished object or installation. Emphasis is placed on material understanding, experimentation, and craftsmanship, as well as the thoughtful balance between technical process and artistic intention.
